English Creek Speedway night #3
English Creek Speedway night #3 is in the books! It was a wheels off kind of night, if ya know what I mean! Night #2 was shorten up due to rain so night #3 was official night 2 of points. During the racing action we saw some absolute domination and FOUR driver maintain a flawless record going into the 2018 season!
We started the night out in the R-Box Stock division and it was Clayton Vanderploeg coming out on top again! Nolan Freeman did not let Vanderploeg win easily though, Freeman stuck with Vanderploeg until the bitter end to finish 2nd. Lauren Pfoltner finished 3rd, Logan Benge finished 4th, and Kaelee Howe rounded out the top 5!
The 250cc 4 Stroke karts were out next with a two car duel that saw Maquire Dejong get the better of McKenzie Smith in a 12 A-Main!
The 390 Clone Flat Karts saw Tony Gerdom continue his domination on the 2018 season winning the feature race with minimal difficulty. Nathan Dailey finished in 2nd, Peyton Stephens in 3rd, Chad Nilles 4th, and Brian Shearer rounding out the top 5!
The Adult Wing Outlaws saw Devon Brown hold Kenzie Alexander in a 12 lap feature where Kenzie would not go away. Brown was able to hold his line as Kenzie just could not manage to find a way around. Kenzie Alexander would go to finish 2nd right behind race winner Devon Brown. John Hines would finish in 3rd, Kade Higday in 4th, and Dylan Alexander rounding out the top 5.
It was the Box Stock division that brought on a drama filled race yet again! With an early crash that saw multiple drivers call it a night, one driver persevered, Lane Gerdom Stewart. After being right in the middle of the early race crash, Gerdom Stewart's machine was still able to race and drove his #10 hot rod to feature race glory! Gage Stevens, who would go on to finish 2nd, lead the early stages of the race and put on a huge fight for the win, but Gerdom Stewart was just to good that night! Cole Garner ran a very steady race and would go on to finish 3rd, Corbin Hulgan in 4th, and McKenzie Smith rounding out the top 5 in the Box Stocks!
The Intermediate Wing Outlaw saw another clinic put on by none other than the 5A of Alex Vande Voort! Vander Voort would sweep the heat races and continued his domination into the feature race picking feature race #2 of the 2018 season! Bradyn Greubel would finish in the runner up spot, with Madison Smith in 3rd, Riley Dailey finished 4th, and rounding out the top 5 would be Keagan McCarty!
To finish out the night were the Open 500cc karts! This race would belong to Nick DeMoss as he went on to win his second straight feature race of the 2018 season! DeMoss would lead flag to flag in the A-Main. It would be Cliff Jones to finish 2nd, Travis Hansaker in 3rd, Scott Johnson in 4th, and rounding out the top 5 would be Ryan Leavitt!
